Becoming a Better Me– with all the negativity that this year has surrounded us with, I have found that I become a better person when the conversations that I’m involved in have more to do with personal growth than world events. One of the key questions that I ask the people that I surround myself with is, what are you reading? what are you watching? what are you doing to stay in a positive mindset? What books are you reading, what videos are you watching, what movies leave you with a positive message? Basically, focusing my mind utilizing the law of attraction so that more positivity comes my way.
Another aspect of becoming a better me is getting outside. Somethings that I have done are; take a walk at a park, an exercise in the home, eating healthier, and preparing foods versus restaurants, and take-outs. The side benefit is the money I’ve saved.
When I am outward focused on ways that I can contribute to my community, it comes back to me tenfold. Unconditional giving is it’s own reward and does inspire a positive outlook in my day.
Strengthening My Business – since the beginning of the change in the world events back in the spring, I connect, confide and collaborate with other business owners that are proactively creating solutions to keep their business growing. This knowledge sharing has expanded the possibilities that previously I hadn’t even thought of. Through the forced use of video conferencing, I have expanded my professional sphere of influence to business owners that are outside of my local market. This exposure has inspired us to launch a new revenue stream.
I have had a business coach for over ten years and this year, more than ever, our conversations have been about keeping business as. usual and expand around the storm that we have all experienced. My coach has provided me with unmeasurable valuable insights and has challenged me to look beyond the areas that we normally would in our business model.
Family and Friends – my first thoughts when thinking about family and friends is gratitude and appreciation. Now more than ever before, the quality of time that we are actually able to meet and be together has been more precious because we don’t if we’re going to be in another isolation. I have reached out to more family and friends than ever before because technology has allowed me to talk and see them with video conferencing and without having to plan a trip. When we were in the lockdown, people had all sorts of time because nothing else was going on and it was a good distraction from Netflix. We have all become more accepting and comfortable with the George Jetson type of existence. Now, we are just waiting for the flying cars. Stay tuned…
In closing, the conversations that I’ve had with prospects and clients this past year has also been more authentic, and more than ever, clients have opened up to us and reached out for our support and solutions. I am very grateful that our clients trust us and have confidence in our ability to get things done during these times and that they appreciate our reduced pricing during the pandemic.
